We are proud to celebrate the success of Oli Kellett’s photographs, which are currently hanging in the RA Summer Exhibition.

The images are from Oli’s recent Americas series. Centered around crossroads, they were shot over the period of 12 months in multiple American cities. With a shoestring budget, minimal kit, and many days spent walking the city streets. Oli found interesting vantage points – and patiently sat in wait, surveying the changing light and waiting for inspiring subjects to appear. None of what was captured is constructed for the camera, everything was captured in the moment.

The RA Summer Exhibition is the world’s oldest open submission exhibition. It has been held without interruption since 1769 and displays works in a variety of mediums and genres from emerging and established artists – with this special 250th-anniversary edition curated by Grayson Perry.

Everything that can be seen at the Summer Exhibition represents what is happening in the art world right now. New and recent art created by everyone from emerging artists to the biggest names in contemporary art and architecture. The Summer Exhibition continues in the tradition of showcasing a variety of work in all media, including painting, sculpture, photography, printmaking, architecture, and film.
