Peter shows a whole new side in the latest commission for ‘Pink Paprika’. Sat upon pixilated surroundings, this shoe photography is stark in contrast to his series influenced by the old masters.

The Sunday Times Style asked Beate Sonnenberg to photograph the newest hair range from Sisley.

With the new product being all about ‘Health & Hair’, Beate created a futuristic/medical look reminiscent of 2001: A Space Odyssey.

Beate’s latest personal project explores surface tension. The balance between liquid and solid merging.

“I was exploring how the combination of different liquids, textures and powders can create suspended/abstract moments in time:
Much like how a water-boatman walks on water. There is a fine line between the surface tension and that of the water droplets breaking.”

Beate photographed ‘Michelle & Trinny’ for Sunday Times.

For both images, the team decided to hint at the colourful tones. This has been achieved through mirrors & light, the packaging is even worked in as a structural element to the scene.

Beate shot this Christmas Gift set for the historic December 2017 issue of British Vogue.

This month Vogue relaunches itself with Editor ‘Edward Emminful’ leading the charge.

Elise shot this series for the new Beauty Bay campaign ‘New Queen in Town’.

The motion and stills are all about showcasing the product as the spiritual home for the beauty bold and the fashion fearless. It is about smashing the rules, defying obedience and wearing your war paint exactly the way you want it!

Check out the BTS video if you are interested in seeing how this was pulled together.

Beate works together with The Sunday Times creative team to create these intricate features.

Originally the first image was going to feature flowers, to denote fragrance. However, the team did not feel it delivered a contemporary atmosphere so in its place, Beate layered blue shapes beneath the products.

Beate also photographed the red lipstick on a striped pattern to guide the eye and intersect hard shadows, all against a vibrant red background.

Stylist Magazine approached Beate with M&S for a collaborative project to feature stills and Gif’s.

Beate – ‘We had two styling briefs; first, of which incorporated petals with the lingerie, the second featured mirrors. By the end of the shoot, creative visions had shifted and I devised a lighting treatment in post-production to draw out a more autumnal atmosphere.’

Beate shot this Avon Feature for Vogue, from her riverside studio.

Material and light work together in denoting a distinguished atmosphere. The hard edges of elegant materials sit in juxtaposition to the product curves. The serum is placed at an angle in the frame to communicate the rotation function and its infinite results.

In the foreground, a reflection of the product creates a red wisp of light.

Beate – “Elle Magazine sent me the product and asked for my creative lead on this.  It’s kind of cool! and I got to work with props in my studio. Once I felt we were in a good place I would share where we are at and look forward to feedback.”
