Beate uses light refractions in the latest Lumene campaign. The still life images draw on mineral elements and feature alongside the beauty images.
L’Oreal commissioned Peter for a series of creative images that incorporated liquid movements for Garner hair colour.
Peter took the notion of hydration and exploited the opportunity to create some fluid art!
Peter shows a whole new side in the latest commission for ‘Pink Paprika’. Sat upon pixilated surroundings, this shoe photography is stark in contrast to his series influenced by the old masters.
The Sunday Times Style asked Beate Sonnenberg to photograph the newest hair range from Sisley.
With the new product being all about ‘Health & Hair’, Beate created a futuristic/medical look reminiscent of 2001: A Space Odyssey.
Beate’s latest personal project explores surface tension. The balance between liquid and solid merging.

“I was exploring how the combination of different liquids, textures and powders can create suspended/abstract moments in time:
Much like how a water-boatman walks on water. There is a fine line between the surface tension and that of the water droplets breaking.”
For both images, the team decided to hint at the colourful tones. This has been achieved through mirrors & light, the packaging is even worked in as a structural element to the scene.
This month Vogue relaunches itself with Editor ‘Edward Emminful’ leading the charge.
The motion and stills are all about showcasing the product as the spiritual home for the beauty bold and the fashion fearless. It is about smashing the rules, defying obedience and wearing your war paint exactly the way you want it!

Beate works together with The Sunday Times creative team to create these intricate features.
Originally the first image was going to feature flowers, to denote fragrance. However, the team did not feel it delivered a contemporary atmosphere so in its place, Beate layered blue shapes beneath the products.
Beate also photographed the red lipstick on a striped pattern to guide the eye and intersect hard shadows, all against a vibrant red background.
Stylist Magazine approached Beate with M&S for a collaborative project to feature stills and Gif’s.
Beate – ‘We had two styling briefs; first, of which incorporated petals with the lingerie, the second featured mirrors. By the end of the shoot, creative visions had shifted and I devised a lighting treatment in post-production to draw out a more autumnal atmosphere.’
